About
The Little Barn, was the last place in the village to house the working heavy horses. This 16th Century hideaway has been artistically restored, exposing wattle and daub walls and the wobbly oak beams. With no light pollution, the evenings are filled with silence and clear night skies. Topcroft is a sleepy village on the edge of the picturesque Waveney valley and only a 25 minute drive from the medieval city of Norwich and 35 minutes from the popular seaside resorts of Southwold and Walberswick. You’ll love the location, with peaceful country views and clean air, with no through traffic.
This area is great for couples or older families, with plenty of choices for walking, biking, canoeing and wild swimming. The host is a professional artist and illustrator, with many of her prints and paintings on the walls of the barn. Hear the hooting of owls. Enjoy a patio view over the pond with clucking moorhens and ducks. Relax in front of the wood burner, or gather round the fire-pit with a glass of wine.
We have created a quirky hideaway where you can get away from the hustle & bustle. Strictly no pets, (we're sorry but you can borrow ours!). Bicycles are the perfect way to explore the local countryside around the Waveney valley and visit our local market towns of Bungay and Beccles, filled with bijou cafes and artisan food shops. Topcroft is the perfect location for exploring the Norfolk/Suffolk border.
We provide a goodie pack with a bottle of wine on your arrival. There is always milk in the fridge and freshly ground coffee in the kitchen. There is off road parking up the drive, next to the meadow.
